| Cigarettes are one of the most, in not THE most, legal and addictive things in the world. It has caused the death of hundreds of millions over the years and continues to cause thousands of deaths per year to this day. The question is simple: Should it be outlawed by the government and treated as any other drug?
If you think about it cigarettes are definitely a drug in that it's highly addictive, causes people to have irrational behavior in the event that they don't have any/enough (anger, depression, etc...) and people have to go through their own type of detox to get rid of the addiction. It seems extremely hypocritical that weed is outlawed when it's negative effects are nowhere near a severe as those of cigarettes. _________________ Way of the Pride....we do stuff! |

| I don't believe any drug should be illegal, really. I mean think about it, if they legalized heroin today, does that mean a bunch of people are gonna decide, HEY, I'M GONNA GO SHOOT UP!
No. Tax and regulation for everything. People are responsible for their own actions and whatever substance they decide to use is up to them. That's my take.
Cigarettes are bad, NOTHING good comes of smoking them, I full well know this, and I still choose to smoke.
PS: Weed has no negative effects. |

Weed decreases brain activity and inhibits short term memory, to name a few._________________ "When life gives you lemons, it better give you sugar and water too 'cus otherwise your lemonade is gonna suck." |

| Not if you smoke every once in a while, theres not really any bad effects. But for total potheads who smoke multiple times every day it will fuck them up

| I smoke every day, I know people who smoke every day, and I know people who have smoked every day, are a shitload older than anybody on this forum, and still have sharp minds. Enjoy living life like a sheep being easily led and believing all the bullshit you hear from anti-drug asshats. Pot has done nothing but positive things for my life since the day I smoked my first blunt, and I will continue to smoke it on an almost daily basis until the day I die. |

| I would outlaw cigarettes over weed... I don't smoke in any way shape or form but that's just me. Cigarettes have caused some death in my family so I don't really look at them in a positive light whatsoever. I have friends who smoke weed though.. one of them being a very smart guy. Its essentially getting drunk without the after morning side effects from what I have been told. As far is I have heard weed does not really kill a person directly (Usually its what you do while high). Cigarettes can.
So yeah that's my opinion haha _________________ I am the one... The Saiyan of Legend |

You're right about cigarettes tho, nothing positive coming from them. I'll still smoke 'em tho. |

| I don't think anything should be outlawed. If you're going to do drugs, you're going to do them anyways. I think the problem with any drug is the crimes that occur around them like. As far as pot, the fact that its 2011 and its still illegal blows my mind. You can easily but enough vodka to die of alcohol poising ( I've tired ) but the worst possible thing that can happen from smoking too much weed is eating too many hot pockets and getting a little paranoid. |

Fucking right? I've had marijuana, ecstasy, and alcohol, and I can say that alcohol had the smallest positive effect on me and was painful the entire day afterwards. |

| Simple answer - no.
People will still get there hands on it. It's the person's choice whether or not to smoke. It is wrong to however smoke around others because it is unhealthy; especially if the other people don't smoke.
tl;dr - only you can prevent forest fires |
